Promoted learning to allow each individual to create meaning and understanding in their lives. By fostering relationships with staff and students through effective communication skills, Angel is able to meet the needs of all students.

Collaborated with staff and students to deliver educational, behavioural, and emotional support to students across all subject areas in grades K-8.

By teaching grades K-8 I discovered the importance of instilling classroom expectations at the start of the day, being flexible in knowing that things may not always go according to plan, and putting a strong effort to build a healthy and trusting rapport with students. 

Developed and implemented collaborative learning tasks for all students based on their interests and needs. This was integrated across all subject areas and demonstrated in ways that highlighted students' strengths. 

Cultivated positive relationships with each child to establish a dynamic learning environment allowing for students to take ownership of their learning. This was demonstrated through self-editing, verbalization of knowledge and strategies used, as well as critically challenging ideas through inquiry-based approaches. 

Prepared inquiry-based centres and interactive lessons to guide students on patterning and community helpers through the use of visuals, manipulatives, and technology. 

Worked independently with each student to foster literacy skills in reading. By taking the time to get to know each student, I was able to determine which reading strategies were of benefit to their learning.
