Angel has gained ample experience with children both inside and outside of the classroom setting. Most recently, she embarked on a mission trip to Uganda to support the acquisition of the English language for over 200 students. Each of these opportunities have given Angel great knowledge on how to support learners to thrive through differentiated learning approaches and how to structure a well-organized class. Angel's experiences and academic background have equipped her with the tools to expand her professional endeavours and share her passion for educating and empowering youth.

Implemented differentiated teaching and assessment strategies that integrated digital tools and interactive exercises to meet individual student needs and optimize student success. With a focus on building math confidence, students had the opportunity to explore a range of strategies and collaborate through flexible groupings to communicate problem-solving strategies.

By teaching grades K-8 I discovered the importance of instilling classroom expectations at the start of the day, being flexible in knowing that things may not always go according to plan, and putting a strong effort to build a healthy and trusting rapport with students.
